The days get longer and the nights smell green

A few weekends ago, my lovely friend and fellow ASP alum Elisabeth was in town for a Model UN Conference, because she is just that awesome. (Her blog is over at Bella the Blog.) Over a delicious shared dinner of spaghetti carbonara, I mention how I know so much about her than she does about me. "It feels weird!" I exclaim. "I know," she says, without missing a beat. "This is why you need to make a blog so I can learn just as much about you as you do about me!" I insisted that my life is boring as mud (is that a phrase? Oh well, using it anyway) but she persisted. I laughed it off noncommittally, but the thought stayed in my mind...

A few weeks later, and here I am, swamped with a programming assignment due tomorrow, SGA Elections (vote Emily for Rep for Campus Policy! wut wuut) next week, and finals just around the corner, and I'm finally getting down to my first blog post. Yesterday was a beautifully sunny day in New York City, and my lovely roommate Christina and I decided to go for a walk in Central Park. I thought I'd share some of my favorite snapshots from our self-designed scavenger hunt with you. It featured us taking photos of ourselves with people, natural wonders, and man-made pieces from the north part of Central Park and the Upper East Side.

#1 - with some waterfowl

This wasn't from our scavenger hunt; I just thought it would be a fun place to take a picture. Unfortunately, I got kind of stuck. This is me trying to get out.

#6 - near a waterfall. The water was so cool and refreshing! Just perfect.

#4 - on top of a rock! (There's so many huge rocks in Central Park.)

#9 - in a tree

#10 - with some "cool" teens ("Hi, are you guys teenagers?")

#3 - with a cutie ("Hi, can I take a picture with you? We're doing a scavenger hunt, and we need one with a hot guy.")

#15 - by the reservoir. This photo blows me away every time. It shows off just how beautiful of a day it was, and gives an amazing view of the West Side.

I just couldn't resist getting a photo of me in my Thetford tee under a willow tree for all my camp friends.

So there you have it! I got absolutely no work done Saturday, but I think it was well worth it.

How do you procrastinate on Saturdays?
Any signs of spring in your town/city?
